Whispers of the Skylands

Tommy Bubble sat on his bed, fiddling with his tablet, when his mother burst into the room.

"Tommy, what are you watching?" she asked, tilting her head.

"Just a space documentary!" Tommy replied, his eyes wide with wonder. "Did you know there are places above the clouds, like floating islands?"

"Maybe you'll visit them someday," she teased, ruffling his red curls.

Tommy laughed. "And discover musical umbrellas! Imagine that, Mom!"

But as the night fell, Tommy dreamed, and the Spangled Skylands beckoned him with their twinkling constellations.

A Whisper from the Clouds

Tommy awoke not in his bed, but floating amidst the Spangled Skylands. His eyes widened as he marveled at the glimmering islands dotted amongst the glowing constellations.

"Where am I?" Tommy whispered, clutching his T-shirt.

Just then, a sparkling, mischievous hummingbird fluttered up, twirling in the heavenly air. "Name's Ziggy! Fancy a story swap?"

"A story swap?" Tommy echoed, both puzzled and intrigued.

Ziggy's feathers shimmered like rainbows. "I'll help you find the musical umbrellas if you share an adventure tale or two."

Tommy's eyes twinkled with interest. "Alright, but where do we start?"

Before Ziggy could respond, a mysterious shadow loomed overhead, vanishing as quickly as it appeared, leaving Tommy and Ziggy both curious and cautious.
