The Empty Masjid

Mayaar skipped towards the masjid, her heart light with excitement. The domes gleamed under the moonlight, and the tall minarets seemed to touch the stars.

Inside, she expected to find familiar faces and gentle murmurs of prayer, but instead, the place was empty. "Where is everyone?" she wondered aloud, her voice bouncing off the walls.

Undaunted, Mayaar found a spot on the soft carpet and began to pray. Her thoughts were peaceful, but as the night folded around her, something curious happened.

As she bowed, an unfamiliar sensation crept over her. It was as if her thoughts weren't hers alone. She could sense things beyond her own mind, like whispers on the wind, yet no one was there.

"What's happening?" she marveled quietly, looking around the gently lit dome, realizing tonight was the Night of Power. The empty masjid had gifted her something unexpected, a feeling that was at once strange and exhilarating.

The Ripple of Silence

Mayaar lay back on the carpeted floor of the masjid, eyes drawn to the twinkling stars above through the open dome. Each star seemed to whisper a secret, her mind brushing lightly against their distant glow. The vastness of the universe felt closer, almost tangible.

"It's so beautiful," she murmured to herself, her voice a gentle ripple in the quiet space.

As she admired the celestial dance, a warm sensation spread through her—a friendly energy, gentle yet firm, like being cradled in soft light. She couldn't see anyone, but it was as if the night itself had embraced her.

Suddenly, she felt something else joining her thoughts—a presence, curious and kind. It wasn't an intruder but rather a companion, reassuring and intriguing.

"Who's there?" she called softly, almost hopeful.

No answer came, yet she knew she wasn't truly alone. Whatever it was, it heightened her awareness of her newfound powers, making her feel braver and more connected than ever before.
