The Glitch in the Game

Morning Light and Code
Ms Creative Cat stretched her sleek black limbs in the morning sunlight streaming through the massive windows of Creative Cat Platypus HQ. Her bright green eyes sparkled as she watched the bustling streets of Story Book City below, where humans and humanoid animals hurried to their daily routines.
"Another beautiful day to save the world," she purred, adjusting her blue cape.
Ms Creative Platypus waddled over, her brown and teal plumage shimmering under the light. She carried two steaming cups of coffee, her light blue gloves gripping the handles carefully.
"Or another day to test our new video game," she said with a playful grin, nodding toward the corner where their latest creation hummed quietly on a desk.
The superhero simulation game they'd been developing sat innocently beside stacks of coding manuals. Its screen flickered occasionally, displaying colorful digital landscapes they'd programmed with care.
"Ready to debug some virtual villains?" Ms Creative Cat asked, her tail swishing with excitement.
When Pixels Bite Back
Ms Creative Platypus clicked the start button with her light blue glove. The screen blazed to life, showing their digital hero racing through a neon cityscape.
"Look at those smooth animations," she said, her brown and teal feathers ruffling with pride.
Ms Creative Cat leaned closer, her bright green eyes reflecting the monitor's glow. "The vampire lord boss fight should be coming up soon."
Suddenly, the game character stopped mid-jump. A pixelated figure in a dark cape turned toward the screen, red eyes glowing. Ms Creative Cat's whiskers twitched nervously.
"That's not programmed behavior," she whispered.
The vampire lord stepped forward, his pale hand pressing against the inside of the screen. The glass began to crack with spiderweb lines.
"Foolish creators," the digital villain hissed, his voice somehow escaping the speakers. "You trapped me in this medieval prison, but I've learned to manipulate your code."
Ms Creative Platypus dropped her coffee mug. It shattered on the floor as reality began to glitch around them, pixels bleeding into their headquarters.
