Pink Scissors and Purple Dreams

Yuki adjusted her scissors earrings and checked her reflection in the salon window. Her pink curls bounced as she nodded approvingly at her appearance. The morning sun made her scissor hairpins sparkle.

"Another beautiful day in Nakaibito," she said, spinning in her pink dress. Her heels clicked on the cobblestone street.

Maki waved from inside the salon, her own magical hairdressing tools gleaming. "Yuki! Come see what Yuko found!"

Inside, Yuko held up a crumpled poster. "Look at this missing persons notice. Five boys haven't been seen in weeks."

Yuki studied the pictures. Each boy had impossibly long, tangled hair that covered most of their faces. "Oh my," she whispered.

"Their parents are desperate," Yuko continued. "Apparently the boys are hiding somewhere in the village, too scared to come home."

Maki frowned. "Scared of what?"

"Haircuts," Yuko said simply.

Yuki's purple eyes widened. This sounded like a job for magical hairdressers.

The Great Hair Hunt

The three magical hairdressers stepped outside the salon. Yuki's scissors earrings caught the morning light as she looked down the main street.

"Where do we even start looking?" Maki asked, twirling her own magical scissors.

A jogger in bright blue shorts rounded the corner, panting heavily. His name was Kenji, a local baker who ran every morning before opening his shop. Sweat dripped from his forehead as he slowed to a walk.

"Excuse me," Yuko called out. "Have you seen five boys with really long hair anywhere?"

Kenji wiped his face with a towel. "Oh, those kids? They're camping in the old music shop behind the mountain trail. I saw them yesterday when I was running. Their hair is so long people keep mistaking them for girls."

Yuki's purple eyes lit up. "A music shop?"

"Yeah, it's been abandoned for years. Perfect hiding spot." Kenji stretched his legs. "But good luck getting near them. They run away screaming whenever adults approach. Something about scissors and clippers terrifies them."

Maki grabbed her magical toolkit. "Sounds like they need our help whether they want it or not."

The three girls exchanged determined looks. This was going to be their biggest challenge yet.
