Pink Scissors and Purple Eyes
Yuki adjusted her scissor-shaped hairpins as she swept the floor of her small salon in Nakaibito village. Her pink curls bounced with each movement, and her purple eyes sparkled with determination.
"Another quiet morning," she said, polishing her scissors earrings. The village seemed peaceful, but Yuki sensed something brewing.
Through her window, she spotted five boys trudging down the dirt path. Their hair hung in tangled, greasy mats that covered their faces like curtains. People whispered and pointed as they passed.
"Are those girls or boys?" an elderly woman muttered.
The tallest boy, Ren, pulled his shaggy hair lower over his eyes. His friends—Riku, Haruto, Kenji, and Hiroto—shuffled behind him like shadows.
Yuki's heart ached watching them. She'd heard the stories. Bad haircuts. Cruel barbers. Now they were too scared to get proper cuts, and everyone mistook them for girls.
Her scissors necklace caught the sunlight as she stepped outside. Maybe it was time for some magical intervention.
The Golden Bottle
Yuki stepped onto the dusty path, her pink heels clicking against the stones. The five boys froze when they saw her approach, their tangled hair swaying in the morning breeze.
"Good morning!" Yuki called out cheerfully, her scissors earrings catching the sunlight.
Ren pulled his greasy hair further over his face. "We're not interested in haircuts," he mumbled.
"Actually, I was wondering if you'd help me test something new," Yuki said, reaching into her dress pocket. She pulled out a small, shimmering bottle filled with golden liquid. "Hair shine potion. It makes hair glow like starlight."
The boys exchanged glances. Haruto stepped forward, curiosity overcoming his fear. "What does it do exactly?"
"Makes your hair magical for a whole day. No cutting required." Yuki smiled warmly.
Suddenly, loud laughter echoed from down the street. Three older boys approached, led by a tall one with perfectly styled black hair and a cruel smirk.
"Look what we have here," the leader called out. "Five girls talking to a little pink princess."
Ryusei, the bullies' leader, pulled out oversized scissors from his backpack. His friends Daiki and Sato flanked him, grinning wickedly.
"Time for some real haircuts," Ryusei announced, snapping the giant scissors menacingly.
