The Pink Problem

Yuki adjusted her scissors earrings and checked her reflection in the salon window. Her pink curls bounced as she nodded with satisfaction. Today felt special in Nakaibito village.

"Another perfect day for magical makeovers!" she announced to her reflection, twirling in her pink dress.

The bell above the door chimed. Maki and Yuko rushed inside, their faces flushed with excitement.

"Yuki, you won't believe what's happening!" Maki gasped, her hands fluttering nervously. "There's a group of boys outside the bakery, and they look absolutely terrible!"

"Their hair is so long and greasy, people keep mistaking them for girls," Yuko added, wrinkling her nose. "Their parents are furious!"

Through the window, Yuki spotted five boys with shaggy hair hanging over their eyes. They huddled together like scared rabbits. One boy kept shaking his head violently when his mother pointed toward the salon.

"Well," Yuki said, polishing her scissor necklace, "looks like we have customers who need our help."

When Scissors Become Weapons

The boys' parents marched toward the salon like an angry parade. Behind them, five terrified boys stumbled along, their greasy hair swaying with each reluctant step.

"Please, Mom, no!" one boy wailed, grabbing onto a lamppost.

"Ren, you look like a girl! This ends today!" his mother snapped, prying his fingers loose.

The other boys—Riku, Haruto, Kenji, and Hiroto—clustered together like frightened sheep. Their hair hung past their shoulders in tangled mats.

Suddenly, three older boys strutted down the street. The leader, a tall boy with perfectly styled hair, carried enormous golden scissors that gleamed in the sunlight.

"Well, well," the leader announced loudly. "Look what we have here—five girls who need haircuts!"

"We're not girls!" Hiroto squeaked.

"Then why do you look like them?" The leader snapped his giant scissors threateningly. "I'm Ryusei, and these are my friends Daiki and Sato. We fix messy hair problems."

The five boys screamed and scattered in different directions. Parents shouted. Yuki rushed outside with Maki and Yuko.

"Those aren't regular scissors," Maki whispered nervously.

Ryusei grinned wickedly. "Time for some real haircuts!"
