The Island Paradise Problem

Island Dreams
River pressed her nose against the helicopter window as they approached the island. The turquoise water sparkled below like scattered gems.
"Look, Mia!" she called to her best friend. "Our mansion is huge!"
The white stone villa stretched across the cliff like a palace. Palm trees swayed around terraced gardens, and a private beach curved along the shore.
"It's way bigger than my family's place in the Hamptons," Mia said, her dark eyes wide.
River grinned. "Four whole months, just us! Mom and Dad said we could have whatever we want delivered."
The helicopter touched down on the marble landing pad. River grabbed Mia's hand and ran toward the entrance. Crystal chandeliers hung from the vaulted ceiling. Floor-to-ceiling windows showed the endless ocean.
"I already ordered snacks for tonight," River said, pulling out her phone. "Pizza, ice cream, cookies, chips—everything!"
Mia laughed. "This is going to be the best summer ever!"
The Sweet Arrival
The first delivery drone arrived before breakfast. River and Mia watched it hover over the landing pad, dropping boxes of snacks.
"Chocolate chip cookies!" River squealed, tearing open a package.
Mia grabbed a bag of gummy bears. "And look at all this ice cream!"
They spent the morning exploring the mansion's kitchen. River found a smart woman with short hair on a cooking show playing on the wall-mounted screen. The chef was making healthy salads.
"Boring," River said, switching channels until she found cartoons.
For lunch, they ate pizza and brownies on the terrace overlooking the ocean. The afternoon brought more deliveries - chips, candy, frozen waffles, and soda.
"We should probably eat some real food too," Mia suggested, looking at the mountain of junk food covering the marble counters.
River shrugged, opening another bag of chips. "Mom said we could have whatever we want. Besides, we're on vacation!"
By evening, they had eaten so much sugar that River felt slightly sick. But when the final delivery arrived with ice cream sundae supplies, she forgot all about her stomachache.
"Best summer ever!" she declared, diving into a bowl of vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate sauce.
