When Everything Sounds Wrong
Blues the Fox adjusted his sky-blue scarf as he walked toward the colorful tent. Bright banners fluttered in the breeze, and a wooden sign read "Great Animal Talent Show Today!"
"I wonder what amazing acts they have," Blues said to himself, his green eyes sparkling with curiosity.
A loud splash made him turn his head. Near a small pool, a brown horse stood dripping wet, shaking water from his mane.
"That didn't feel right," the horse muttered, looking confused.
From the trees came frantic squeaking. A monkey hung upside down, chattering nervously as he tried to run along a branch with his hands.
Blues tilted his head. Something seemed very mixed up here.
The Cricket's Big News
Blues walked closer to the tent entrance where a small cricket in a tiny bow tie stood behind a wooden podium.
"Welcome to our talent show!" the cricket squeaked loudly. "I'm Cricket the announcer! But we have a big problem!"
Blues ears perked up. "What kind of problem?"
"All our performers are doing the wrong acts!" Cricket waved his tiny arms frantically. "The horse keeps trying to swim, the jellyfish wants to run races, and the eagle refuses to fly! They're all mixed up!"
A loud crash came from inside the tent, followed by confused animal sounds.
"Oh no!" Cricket groaned. "The elephant just tried to swing from the trapeze again!"
