Dino Gourmets in Paris
Listen to audiobook
A Peculiar Morning
Paris, the City of Lights, awoke under a fresh breeze, the scent of croissants mingling with the air. Beneath a sunlit table at a charming café, Chip, the ever-curious chipmunk, nibbled on a delightful pastry. He was contemplating the crispy layers when a peculiar hum filled his ears.
His gaze drifted upwards, away from the flaky treasure, towards the sky—a sky that seemed to split open like a cosmic bakery experiment gone awry. Descending slowly were dinosaur-like creatures, gigantic yet oddly graceful.
He blinked, barely believing. "Dale needs to see this!" he muttered, realizing that today might not be a typical Parisian day after all.
The Dinosaurs' Dilemma
Chip darted beneath the lace of café tables and over cobblestone streets, his tiny heart racing like a drum. He knew he had to find Dale—and quickly. The sight of those enormous creatures had been bewildering enough to send his paws scurrying on their own.
Reaching the shadowy corner where Dale lounged with a croissant crumb in his fur, Chip skidded to a halt. "Dale! You won't believe it," Chip huffed, pointing skyward. "Dinosaurs!"
Dale looked up, his perpetually cheerful eyes widening in disbelief. "Dinosaurs? Here? In Paris? Well, old pal, what do we do?"
Taking a moment to catch his breath, Chip replied, "We have to talk to them."
"Talk to them! Genius! Trusty tech's got our back, then," Dale chirped, waving his trusty little smartphone. "Let's find a translator app."
It wasn't long before the mischievous Grumbles, a towering T. rex from the galactic crew, peered down at the quaint city. His expression shifted from menace to curiosity. "These smells," he rumbled, "perhaps we should eat before anything drastic."
Chip and Dale exchanged hopeful glances. There might just be another way.
