Echoes from the Toadstool

In the heart of the Toadstool Office, where the frenzied hum of conversations floated amid stacks of dusty scrolls, Sandra hopped from one foot to the other, her green raincoat flaring like an impatient flag.

“Stop fidgeting,” chirped Fo, her tiny elf assistant, from beside a towering stack of notebooks. “We’ll be but a story in the waiting room of fairytales if you keep that up!”

Sandra’s bright eyes scanned the cluttered room, where three bears argued over porridge portions and mother goats chased little ones.

“But look over there!” Sandra pointed towards the commotion near the ancient papers.

The air crackled gently, revealing a jumbled note about something called a glowstone.

The Unruly Glow

Amid the lively whirl of the Toadstool Office, Sandra furrowed her brow at the persistently glowing stone nestled between the ancient papers.

“What do you think, Fo?” she murmured, her eyes full of wonder.

Fo, brushing his emerald curls back, squinted at the glowstone. “I’d say it’s more mischief than magic.”

Just as Sandra was about to speak, a loud caw interrupted, startling the room. A sleek black raven hopped from the bookcase, its beady eyes intelligent and undeniably cheeky.

“Well, well, what curious eyes there are here!” the raven squawked, its voice a mischievous melody.

Sandra glanced at Fo, who raised a quizzical brow. "Krell, at your service," the raven introduced himself, dipping what could only be described as an audacious bow.

“Curious indeed,” Sandra whispered to Fo. “I suppose we should follow the glow’s tale.”
