Whispers of Enchantment

info-banner

As dawn's soft light caressed the medieval town of Belladonna, Isabeau felt the familiar tug of transformation. With a shimmer, she became a splendid hawk, soaring into the morning sky. She scanned the cobblestone streets, her keen eyes searching for Etienne. He waited beneath their favorite oak tree, his eyes weary but sparkling with hope.

"Isabeau, tonight we'll find a way," Etienne murmured just before the transformation overtook him, changing him into a majestic black wolf.

"We'll break this curse, my love," Isabeau whispered, her heart aching with determination. Just then, Filippe ran up, breathless.

"I found something!" he exclaimed, holding an ancient manuscript. "This might be the thing we need!"

Above Belladonna's town square, Filippe laid the manuscript on a wooden table, drawing intrigued gazes from passersby. By his side, Isabeau gazed intently at the ancient script, her heartbeat racing against the noon sun.

"This language is old... very old," Filippe noted, tracing the text with a finger. "But there are pictures. Look!"

Isabeau's hawk eyes zeroed in, recognizing past symbols of power and change. "Here," she said, tapping a depiction of a hawk and a wolf. "It's a riddle. It's showing us how to break the curse!"

An elderly merchant, cloaked in voluminous robes, approached. "Secrets like these attract unsavory figures," he warned, eyes glinting with ancient knowledge.

Isabeau narrowed her eyes. "Who are you?"

"A friend," he replied with a cryptic smile, vanishing amidst the crowd.

Filippe and Isabeau shared a wary look. "Tonight, we must study this together," Filippe suggested, glancing at the manuscript. "Before anyone else does."
