Echoes of the Waves

In a big house, splendidly decorated with laughter and trinkets, lived Leo and his family. Leo, the brave and adventurous younger sibling, often found himself both cherished and mildly irritated—a typical fate for the youngest.

"Why do they treat me like a kid?" he mumbled, donning his favorite green adventure outfit. With golden hair styled in a tousled look and sparkling blue eyes, his yearning for his own escapade was irresistible.

Leo tiptoed past the busy kitchen, crept out the back door, and made his way to the rocky shore. The waves whispered promises of hidden treasures. As the sun dipped, he noticed an unusual glow emanating from the tidal pools. Intriguing adventures were surely waiting.

The Glimmering Secret

The glow grew more intense as Leo approached the tidal pool. Kneeling down, he peered into the shimmering water. There, amidst the seaweed, lay a luminous starfish, its arms gracefully waving as if greeting him.

"Whoa, you're beautiful," Leo whispered, mesmerized by its radiance.

Just as he reached out, he heard footsteps crunching on the pebbles. Swiftly, he ducked behind a nearby boulder, holding his breath.

Two men appeared, their rough voices breaking the serenity. "Did you see it? The starfish glows like a diamond! We're gonna be rich!"

Leo's heart pounded. These were no ordinary beachgoers. They were treasure hunters.

"We need to trap it before anyone else gets the chance," one of them said, brandishing a fishing net.

Leo peeked out, his resolve hardening. He couldn't let them capture the starfish. He watched, waiting for the right moment to act. The starfish’s beauty was too unique, too precious. It deserved freedom and respect, not a life behind glass.
