A Fresh Start

Lila stepped out of her apartment building and breathed in the crisp autumn air of Maple City. The maple trees lining every street glowed in brilliant reds and golds, their leaves never falling despite the season lasting all year long. Hover-cars glided silently above while delivery drones zipped between the colorful branches.

"Perfect day for a new beginning," she said, adjusting her emerald green jacket and matching boots. Her long black hair caught the morning light as she walked toward the city center.

She had moved here three months ago but still felt like a tourist. Today would be different. Today she would finally feel at home.

The holographic signs above the shops flickered to life as the city woke up. One particular storefront caught her eye with its bright pink neon sign: "Future Family Solutions - Quick Results Guaranteed!"

Lila paused, curious. Through the window, she could see shelves lined with small bottles and a friendly-looking woman behind the counter arranging displays.

The Pink Promise

Lila pushed open the glass door, and a soft chime announced her entrance. The woman behind the counter looked up from arranging small pink bottles on a display shelf.

"Welcome to Future Family Solutions! I'm Dr. Maya Chen," the woman said with a warm smile. She wore a white lab coat over jeans and had kind brown eyes behind wire-rimmed glasses. "How can I help you today?"

Lila glanced around at the shelves lined with colorful bottles. "What exactly do these do?"

"They help people start families quickly," Dr. Chen explained, holding up one of the pink bottles. "Each pill creates one baby. Most people take just one, but some take two or three for twins or triplets."

Lila's eyes widened. This was exactly what she needed for her fresh start in Maple City. "How fast do they work?"

"Usually takes about a month to show results," Dr. Chen said.

Lila bit her lip. A month seemed too long when she wanted to feel settled right now. "What if someone took more pills? Would it work faster?"

Dr. Chen frowned. "I wouldn't recommend—"

"I'll take twenty bottles," Lila interrupted, pulling out her credit chip. "For a really big family!"
