Pixie and the Whispering Woods
Listen to audiobook
Sunflower Sunrise Valley
Pixie Frost skipped through Sunflower Sunrise Valley, her pastel dress sparkling in the morning sun. "Good morning, sunflowers!" she sang, waving to the sea of oval, cheerful faces.
"Your petals look extra sparkly today!" Pixie admired, touching a petal as she wondered, "Do you ever get tired of always facing the sun?"
The sunflowers swayed gently. "Maybe they would answer if they could," thought Pixie.
"I wonder what secrets lie in the Whispering Woods," she said, looking towards the dark, mysterious woods just beyond the valley.
Venturing into Whispering Woods
With a deep breath, Pixie stepped into the Whispering Woods. Shadows danced around her. A soft murmur floated on the wind.
"Who's there?" Pixie called, her green eyes wide.
An owl swooped down. "I am Hoot," the owl said. "The wise owl."
"Why do the trees whisper?" Pixie asked.
"They have lost their voices," Hoot answered. "Can you help?"
"Of course!" Pixie agreed. "Where do I start?"
"Find the tree that speaks the loudest," Hoot advised.
Pixie nodded and ventured further, every shadow and sound challenging her bravery. What should Pixie do next?
