Pink Scissors and Purple Dreams
Yuki adjusted her scissor-shaped hairpins and checked her reflection in the salon window. Her pink curls bounced as she turned her head, and her purple eyes sparkled with excitement. Today was the day she'd officially open her magical hair salon in Nakaibito village.
"Perfect!" she whispered, smoothing down her pink dress and clicking her matching heels on the wooden floor.
The bell above the door chimed as three other magical girls entered. Maki had short blue hair and wore a lavender apron over her yellow dress. Yuko's green braids swayed as she carried a box of hair supplies, her orange outfit bright against the morning light.
"Are you ready for this, Yuki?" Maki asked, setting down her scissors case.
Before Yuki could answer, shouting erupted from the village square outside. Through the window, she spotted five boys with long, tangled hair being dragged toward the salon by their angry parents.
"No! Please!" one boy cried. "Anywhere but the hair salon!"
The Chase Begins
The salon door burst open as five boys tumbled inside, their parents pushing them forward. Yuki gasped at the sight—their hair was so long and tangled it covered their faces completely.
"Please don't make us!" cried the tallest boy, his voice muffled behind greasy strands. "We'll do anything else!"
"Your hair is so long, people think you're girls!" snapped one mother. "This ends today!"
Yuki stepped forward, her scissor hairpins catching the sunlight. "Don't worry, I'm Yuki. These are my friends Maki and Yuko. We'll take good care of you."
The boys huddled together like frightened animals. One peeked through his tangled bangs with scared brown eyes. "You won't hurt us?"
Before Yuki could answer, loud laughter echoed from outside. Three older boys pressed their faces against the window, pointing and snickering.
"Look at the cry-babies!" shouted the biggest one. "Too scared for a haircut!"
The five boys turned red with embarrassment. The shortest one made a break for the back door, but his mother caught his arm.
"No running away, Ren!"
