Secrets of the Parisian Clocktower
Listen to audiobook
Shadows in the Dial
The moment the trio stepped into the clocktower, they were greeted by an overwhelming symphony of ticking gears and cogs. The interior was a fascinating blend of ancient mechanics and enchantments.
"When in doubt, consult a book," Hermione murmured, spotting an antique journal on a rickety table. Harry reached for it, almost feeling the pulse of its old, worn pages.
"It looks like it hasn't been touched in centuries," said Ron, awe-struck by the pristine condition of the journal.
Harry opened it and, to their surprise, detailed sketches and notes filled the pages. "These are blueprints!" he exclaimed. "And... secret passages!"
Their eyes widened as they saw a schematic revealing the tower's hidden corridors, some leading to long-forgotten parts of Paris.
Before they could delve any deeper, a familiar voice behind them sent chills down their spines. "So, Potter, Granger, Weasley. Fancy seeing you here."
Draco Malfoy emerged from the shadows, but this time, there was an unusual air about him. He was curious.
"Malfoy! What are you doing here?" Hermione asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Believe it or not, something drew me here too," Draco said, his usual arrogance replaced with a strange solemnity.
The group exchanged puzzled glances, the journal still open before them. The clocktower seemed to have its own plans.
City of Lights, Shadows of Time
Harry adjusted his round glasses, squinting up at the old clocktower that stood tall against the Parisian sky. He felt a strange pull, like an invitation that couldn't be ignored.
"What's so fascinating about an old clock?" Ron asked, munching on a croissant.
"It's not just any clock, Ron," Hermione replied, her eyes dancing with curiosity. "It's said to be as old as Paris itself."
The trio edged closer. The tower's doors creaked open as if by magic.
"Well, are we going in or not?" Harry asked.
"Let's," Hermione said with a determined smile. And together, they stepped into the shadows of time.
