The city was as lively as ever, bustling with cabs zipping down the streets and people chattering excitedly as they moved through their days. Supercat, with his fur shimmering in shades of blue and silver, stood atop a building beside the iconic skyscrapers of New York. Today wasn't just any day for Supercat.

He had sensed something peculiar—a ripple, like a hiccup in time, from the tallest skyscraper downtown. Curiosity piqued, Supercat decided a closer look was in order.

Soaring down toward the towering structure, his cape fluttered brilliantly behind him, he was instantly drawn to a faint, glowing anomaly embedded within the walls—a portal. Fascination quickly turned into concern; the portal shimmered mysteriously, promising journeys to eras unknown.

“What could this mean for New York?” he mused, his green eyes widening with wonder and caution. With time awry, the stakes were clear: it was up to Supercat to make things right, ensuring the city felt whole again.

Supercat's whiskers twitched as he ventured cautiously into the towering skyscraper once more, each step echoing on the polished marble floors. The portal he'd discovered seemed dormant, yet remained vivid in his memory. He traced the faintly glowing outline on the wall, pondering its source and purpose.

Without warning, a blue shimmer enveloped him, pulling Supercat forward. The world spun, buildings stretched and blurred, until suddenly, it all stopped. Supercat landed on his feet—naturally.

Only he wasn't in present-day New York anymore; the streets were lined with classic cars, and the air buzzed with jazz from nearby clubs. A billboard for Ziegfeld Follies loomed, as flappers in their dazzling dresses flitted by, busy and carefree. The distinct hum of the 1920s surrounded him.

Supercat glanced down at his sleek outfit, then around at the bustling streets, aware of curious eyes on him, notably a taxi driver staring in disbelief at his cape. If he was to keep the past as it was, he needed to tread carefully and uncover how to return before time—and trouble—tangled further.
