The Cat with Blue Glasses
Listen to audiobook
The Garden Gateway
Rose skipped through the garden next to her aunt's house, her red dress with white dots swirling around her. She missed her parents dearly, but this garden always lifted her spirits. She knelt down to smell the bright tulips.
A soft rustling caught her attention. She turned to see a black cat, sitting regally, wearing striking blue spectacles.
"Hello there," said Rose, her voice filled with curiosity.
The cat blinked its bright blue eyes and seemed to be observing her closely. Rose felt a tingle of excitement. This was no ordinary cat.
The Cat's Clue
"Hello," Rose repeated, stepping closer. The cat tilted its head, glinting mischievously through blue spectacles.
"Greetings, young one," the cat purred. "I am Professor Whiskers." Rose's eyes widened. A talking cat!
"Professor Whiskers," she echoed, giggling at the name. "What brings you here?"
Professor Whiskers adjusted his glasses. "I am here for a curious case. Flowers have been going missing in the village, and I need a sharp mind to help me find the culprit."
Rose's curiosity sparked. "I can help!" she said eagerly.
"Then let's begin," said Professor Whiskers.
They followed a trail of rose petals towards Mrs. Thompson's house, where the first clue awaited.
