The House and the Glow
Beautiful House stood proudly beside the endless sunflower field, its blue shingles glowing beneath the morning sun. A gentle breeze nudged Nivitha as she sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes. Her fingers slipped beneath the pillow, feeling for the treasure exchange. Her smile widened as she discovered the gift and chocolates placed there by none other than the Tooth Fairy.
"Wow! Hashini did come!" she giggled, her heart fluttering with excitement. The present sparkled in the warm sunlight streaming through the windows.
Outside, the garden whispered promises of adventure. Nivitha tiptoed through the patch, humming with delight. A shimmer of silver caught her eye as a half-asleep Hashini, with her long silver hair and glittery wings, floated nearby.
"Good morning, Nivitha!" Hashini exclaimed, landing softly on a patch of daisies.
Just then, Hashini accidentally knocked over a nearby flower pot. To their surprise, an unusual carrot rolled into view. It wasn't like any other carrot—it glowed with a dim yet mesmerizing light. This was no ordinary vegetable.
Nivitha and Hashini shared a bewildered glance, filled with wonder and a hint of worry. What secrets lay within this peculiar garden?
The Puzzling Glow
Nivitha reached cautiously for the unusual glowing carrot, her fingers tingling as they hovered nearby.
"Do you think it's magic?" she asked, wide-eyed and slightly hesitant.
Hashini flicked her silver hair back with a laugh, though a thoughtful crease appeared on her brow. "Maybe. It could be something more. A mystery, like those in your books."
Their attention was drawn to a twitch of movement in the corner of the garden. Out bounded Whiskers, an orange-furred rabbit with a twinkle of mischief in his dark eyes.
"Oh, another curious audience," he squeaked cheekily, scratching behind his long ears. "I've seen that carrot before, you know. It deals in time, not taste."
Nivitha brushed the thought of eating it aside, amused. "What do you mean?"
Whiskers stretched casually, illuminating his soft white chest and paws in the dappled sunlight filtering through the tree leaves. "It's simple. That carrot can change the flow of time in our garden, but, beware, it can rearrange much more than you'd like."
Hashini fluffed her wings, perplexed. "Time? A carrot? It sounds like a curious tale from my toothy escapades!"
Suddenly, the carrot's glow intensified, and the garden's sundial spun bafflingly backward.
"Watch out," Whiskers warned. "Time's playing tag, and you're 'it'!"
Nivitha and Hashini watched on, mouths agape, as the morning sun crept backward, the light shifting unexpectedly, leaving them with a tangled trail of wonder.
