"I won't go to sleep! Tell me a story, Mom!" Ruby insisted, clutching her polka-dot blanket. Her mom smiled, sitting beside her. "Once there was a brave boy, just your age," she began, "He faced a sneaky witch who made flowers sing!" Ruby's eyes sparkled with curiosity.

The Secret Window

Ruby's mom continued. "The boy, Leo, found a secret window in his room, leading to the witch's garden!" Ruby gasped. "What did he do, Mom?" With determined eyes, Mom replied, "He teamed up with Charlie, the sneaky squirrel, to find the witch's mischief potion before sunset!"

"I want to help, too!" Ruby whispered, feeling courageous like Leo.
