Morning at the Fortress

Bo Peep stretched her arms as morning sunlight streamed through the tall windows of the Sheep Hotel. The massive fortress stood in the heart of Meadow Metropolis, its stone walls bustling with activity as sheep and humans hurried past each other in the corridors.

"Good morning, Bo Peep!" called Daisy, a single mother sheep with cream-colored wool. She carried a small briefcase and looked rushed.

"Morning, Daisy! Ready for another day of dancing later?" Bo Peep asked, her blue staff glowing softly.

Daisy paused at the elevator. "Oh, I wish I could. I'm just so tired these days. Between work and taking care of little Lily, I barely have energy for anything."

Bo Peep's smile faded as she watched Daisy disappear into the elevator. She'd heard similar words from other single mother sheep recently.

"Strange," Bo Peep murmured, tapping her staff thoughtfully. "They all seem so exhausted lately."

The Hidden Level

Bo Peep walked down the hotel's main corridor, her blue staff casting gentle light on the polished floors. She needed to understand what was happening to her friends.

"Excuse me," she called to a passing maintenance worker. The man wore a bright yellow jumpsuit and carried a tablet device.

"Yes, miss?" he asked, looking up from his screen.

"Have you noticed anything unusual lately? The single mother sheep seem so tired."

The worker frowned. "Funny you mention that. My robot assistant, RB-7, has been acting strange too. Usually he helps with cleaning, but he's been disappearing at night."

Just then, a sleek silver robot rolled up to them. Its red optical sensors flickered.

"Master Jake, I must return to the space station level immediately," the robot announced in a mechanical voice.

"Space station level?" Bo Peep's eyes widened. "I didn't know the hotel had one."

"Neither did I," Jake whispered. "RB-7, what's up there?"

"Cannot disclose. Confidential operations in progress." The robot spun around and rolled toward a service elevator Bo Peep had never noticed before.
