A Rustle in Farm Fortress

info-banner

Under the golden sun, Farm Fortress stood proudly, wrapped in endless fields of corn that whispered greetings to the fluttering apple blossoms. The scarecrow, with its friendly grin, looked over, as clucks and moos cheerfully filled the air.

“Listen!” cried Maisie, one of the five pink-skinned sows, agile and spirited. Her cape flared behind her like a vivid rainbow.

“What is it?” inquired Lilly, her gentle, white wool rustling as the breeze caught her superhero gear.

“A sound from the ancient tree!” Maisie replied, eyes twinkling with curiosity.

Together, the five sows and ewes bounded through the orchard, eager to unravel the peculiar noise coming from the tree's thick, gnarled branches—their spirits as bright as their capes.

The Murmur of Mend

The gentle rustle of ancient branches seemed almost melodic as the group reached the base of the venerable tree. Its gnarled trunk bore the marks of time, a witness to countless seasons.

Maisie glanced around, her nimble nose sniffing the air. A sudden rustle caught her attention, and with a playful leap, Cedric the squirrel, golden of fur and ever so mischievous, landed before her, a grin lighting up his tiny eyes.

“Oh, Cedric!” chuckled Lilly, smoothing her wool. "Is this your doing?"

Cedric twitched his whiskers, feigning innocence, but his playful eyes betrayed him. "I might have known something interesting about this tree," he squeaked, tail flicking with excitement.

"Interesting, you say?" Maisie asked, raising an eyebrow.

The squirrel drew closer and whispered conspiratorially, "Beneath those roots lies a passage—a passage to everything unknown."

The ewes and sows exchanged keen looks. Curiosity danced in their eyes, mingled with a tinge of trepidation.

“Could you show us?” Lily asked, her voice a mix of intrigue and caution.

Cedric paused, glancing up at the tree with a reverent nod. "Follow me, and you might discover more about your world, and maybe something about yourselves too."

With a leap, the squirrel dashed toward the base of the tree, leaving behind trails of crackling leaves. The sows and ewes followed, hearts pounding with the promise of adventure.
