Pink Scissors and Morning Sunshine
Yuki hummed as she arranged her magical hairdressing tools in the sunny salon window. Her pink comb wand sparkled next to neat rows of scissors, each one gleaming silver in the morning light. She smoothed her pink apron and checked her reflection in the mirror, making sure her blonde waves looked perfect.
"Another beautiful day in Haruka!" she said, spinning around with her arms wide. The pink ribbons on her dress fluttered as she moved.
Through the window, she spotted something that made her stop mid-spin. Five boys were racing down the street, their long hair flying behind them like wild banners. One boy's black hair covered his eyes completely. Another had brown tangles that bounced with each step.
"Oh my," Yuki whispered, pressing her nose against the glass. "Those poor boys need haircuts so badly!"
She grabbed her magical comb wand, its pink surface warm in her palm. This looked like a job for a magical hairdresser.
The Market Chase
Yuki stepped outside her salon, her magical comb wand glinting in the sunlight. The five boys had disappeared around the corner, but she could still hear their footsteps echoing between the buildings.
"Wait!" she called, hurrying after them. Her pink dress swished as she ran.
She turned the corner and found herself in Haruka's bustling morning market. Vendors called out their prices while shoppers examined fresh vegetables and flowers. But there, hiding behind a fruit stand, were the five boys she'd spotted earlier.
The shortest one peeked out from behind a pile of oranges. His messy brown hair stuck up in all directions like he'd been struck by lightning.
"It's her!" he whispered loudly to his friends. "The scary lady with the scissors!"
"I'm not scary," Yuki said gently, approaching with her hands up. "I just want to help you look nice."
The boy with black hair covering his eyes grabbed his friend's arm. "Run, Ren! She's got that pointy thing!"
All five boys scattered like startled cats, weaving between market stalls. Ren knocked over a basket of apples as he fled.
