Isabeau's grey eyes fluttered open to the gentle light of dawn. She rose swiftly, her untamed fair hair falling over her slim shoulders. The enchantment had begun—soon she would transform.

"Etienne," she whispered, knowing he wouldn't answer. He was already gone, a wolf once more.

The transformation was swift, her body shrinking and feathers replacing skin. She was a hawk, soaring in the golden sky.

In the evening, Isabeau landed outside a small cottage. Etienne, now a man, waited. His dark eyes looked sad.

"We must find Filippe," Isabeau said.

"To Azura," Etienne agreed.

Their journey to lift the curse had begun.

As dawn's first light cast a gentle hue over the horizon, Isabeau, now a hawk, soared towards Azura. The bustling port town came into view, filled with vibrant activity and the scent of the sea. Ships from various lands lined the docks, their sails catching the morning breeze, while merchants and sailors filled the streets. Her keen hawk eyes scanned the maze of buildings, searching for any sign of Filippe. A wave of fatigue washed over her—the day's journey had been long and perilous.

She waited until the last rays of sun dipped below the horizon. Landing outside an inn adorned with ivy, she tucked her wings close, feeling the familiar ache as her body stretched and morphed back to human form. Etienne was already there, his dark eyes meeting hers.

"Azura feels different," he murmured. "More eyes watching us."

Isabeau nodded. They ventured into the market square, a lively space aglow with lanterns and filled with the chatter of townsfolk. The scent of fresh bread and spices wafted through the air. In the midst of the crowd, they found Filippe, a clever dark-haired boy of twelve.

"Isabeau! Etienne!" Filippe exclaimed, his eyes twinkling with excitement. "I think I know someone who can help you—an old healer who lives near the cliffs. She specializes in breaking curses."

Night began to creep in, casting long shadows and filling the air with a chill. As Etienne’s transformation into a wolf loomed, Filippe offered, "You can stay at my place tonight. It’s safe."

Isabeau smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Filippe. Lead the way." They moved quickly, the distant howl of a wolf echoing in the night.
