The Invisible Enemy

Sparks in the Shadows
In the hushed corridors of the Arcade of Solitude, nestled in the southern outskirts of Level City, a dozen blinking screens cast eerie glows. The air thrummed with electronic beeps and a symphony of game sounds. This is where Video Game Master, a 10-year-old boy with spiky orange hair and blue sunglass goggles, thrived.
"Something's off, Gizmo," he murmured to his pet robot, a small contraption built from old gaming consoles.
Gizmo whirred in agreement, its tiny screen flashing ominously.
"Glitches everywhere today," Video Game Master noted, squinting at the screen with his sparkling blue eyes. "This isn’t just bad coding."
Gizmo approached, offering a tiny digital map. A plan started to form in the young hero's mind.
"We have an invisible enemy, Gizmo."
Determined, Video Game Master knew he needed to uncover who—or what—was behind these glitches before more chaos erupted.
The First Encounter
Blinking LEDs and shifting patterns flashed on the screens around Video Game Master. Suddenly, a soft whir caught his ear. He turned to see a girl about his age, hunched over a complicated contraption, her fingers dancing over a keyboard. Her black hair was tied back, and her glasses seemed slightly too big for her face.
"Who are you?" he asked, cautious yet intrigued.
The girl startled, looking up with wide, brown eyes. "I'm Vira. I...I didn't expect anyone here."
"I'm Video Game Master, and this is Gizmo," he introduced, nodding at his robot. "What are you doing?"
"I noticed the glitches too," she said, pushing her glasses up her nose. "I've been trying to trace them. They're affecting more than just this arcade."
Gizmo beeped inquisitively as it zoomed closer to Vira's setup. "What have you found?"
"They seem like intentional attacks," Vira replied, her voice trembling slightly. "But I haven't identified the source yet. We will need to outsmart them."
"Looks like we could use your help," Video Game Master said, offering a smile. "Let's team up and see what we can uncover together."
Relieved, Vira nodded. With a mix of skepticism and hope, the trio began brainstorming strategies, just as an ominous shadow cast over the flickering screens.
