Reflections in the Lagoon

The Goblin Mermaid brushed her green scales, her large, friendly eyes reflecting the sunlight. She stood at the edge of the Lagoon of Solitude, her webbed hands playing with the water.

"I swear, my internet's slower than a sea snail today," grumbled Azul, a blue-scaled sea dragon, his wings twitching in annoyance.

"Maybe it's all the gifs you keep sending," teased the Goblin Mermaid with a mischievous smile.

Azul groaned, then paused. The water's surface rippled without cause.

"Did you see that?" he asked, his eyes wide.

"Yeah," she replied, her curiosity piqued. "Something's out there." The water beckoned, shimmering with secrets yet untold.

Ripples of Mystery

The Goblin Mermaid leaned closer to the shimmering water, her webbed hands tracing the ripples' path. "Something's definitely out there, Azul," she murmured.

Azul's eyes glinted with determination. "Should we dive in?"

Before they could decide, a splashing sound echoed, followed by a playful chuckle. "You two look like fish out of water," teased a voice.

The Goblin Mermaid spun around to find a sea otter with a mischievous grin lounging on a nearby rock. His fur gleamed wet in the sun, and he twirled a seaweed strand between his paws. "Name's Seafara. I couldn't help but hear your little dilemma. Might be I know a thing or two about invisible islands." He winked.

"Invisible island?" Azul tilted his head, skeptical but intrigued.

"Yes, yes!" Seafara continued. "I've seen the invisible island. Only visible to the cleverest and craftiest. Might even guide you there... if you convince me it's worth my trouble."

The Goblin Mermaid and Azul exchanged glances, curiosity and tension bubbling beneath the surface. "Let's hear what he has to say," she finally said.

Seafara's smile widened, revealing tiny, pearly teeth. "Excellent choice, my friends. Follow me, if you dare." And with a flick of his tail, he plunged into the water, leaving ripples and questions in his wake.
