The Dawn of the Curse

In a quaint medieval town in Italy, the golden rays of dawn painted the cobblestone streets with soft, gentle light. In the sky, a hawk soared with perfect grace, its wings cutting through the morning air. But this was no ordinary hawk. This was Isabeau, a young woman bound by an ancient curse.

High above, Isabeau spotted a familiar face below. It was Filippe, her spirited and clever friend.

"Good morning, Isabeau!" Filippe chirped, waving his arm high.

With a swoop, Isabeau circled down until she perched on the stone wall near him. She couldn't speak in her hawk form, but her sharp, gray eyes spoke volumes.

"I have news," Filippe said. "Etienne and I were talking yesterday. We need to meet at the old bridge. Maybe we can find answers there."

Isabeau nibbled gently at Filippe's ear. It was her way of showing thanks.

"Don't worry," Filippe assured her, "I'll be there to help you both."

The hawk nodded, her eyes scanning the horizon. Day was her prison, but it wouldn't stop her or Etienne from seeking a way to break their curses.

Footsteps in the Twilight

As the sun began to set, the quaint medieval town was bathed in the soft hues of twilight. Along the worn cobblestone path that led to the old stone bridge, Isabeau could feel the evening air embracing her human form once more. Night was nigh, and with it, the urgency of their quest.

"Oh, where is Etienne?" she mused aloud, her big gray eyes scanning the path.

Just then, Filippe, her spirited friend with tousled brown curls, scampered towards her. "Isabeau!" he cried. "It's time! We mustn’t delay."

He grinned with youthful enthusiasm, his laughter twinkling in the air like the first stars.

With a nod, Isabeau moved closer to the bridge's edge, her untamed fair hair catching the breeze. The sound of footsteps in the distance quickened her pulse.

A dark figure, silhouetted by the last light of the day, appeared. Etienne hurried forward, but as the sun dipped below the horizon, his form began to shift, the curse transforming him into a majestic black wolf.

"The time is slipping away," Filippe remarked, stepping back.

Now, with Isabeau fully human and Etienne completely wolf, the three friends stood together on the bridge, gazing at each other. They knew the challenge of their curses demanded action. With the night sky deepening, every moment mattered in their attempt to unravel the magic that kept them apart.
