In the southern outskirts of Sea Forest City, there lay a quaint little Coral Cabin shimmering in oceanic hues. It was here, amidst the shells' chime and whisper of sea winds, that Mermaid Red Riding Hood found solace.

"Ah, Coral Cabin," she mused, waving her hand to weave the gentle flow of water that adorned the cabin with wizardry. Her silver tail glimmered like the Sea Lord's treasure. Curiosity danced in her vibrant green eyes as the sun enveloped her auburn locks.

As she gracefully circled the room, something odd caught her attention on the table. A marshmallow that refused to melt, glistening like a mysterious pearl.

"Hmm, what have we here?" Red murmured, reaching out to inspect. "Not what you'd expect in a fisherman's abode." Her fascination piqued, a suspicion brewed within her.

"Well," she declared aloud, "not everything sweet is to be trusted."

The Sweet Invitation

Mermaid Red Riding Hood gingerly poked the marshmallow with one delicate finger. To her surprise, it jingled lightly, like a bell tossed upon an autumn breeze. Whispering felt curiously out of bounds, yet whispers were precisely what emerged from its center. "Come closer," a velvety voice seduced, smoothing the ripples in her mind, "Fear not, dear Red."

With a furrow of confusion touching her brow, Red looked around the cabin for any signs of life. Everything remained still.

Skepticism tugged at the corners of her thoughts. "You speak," Red murmured to the marshmallow, cleverly balancing herself between caution and exploration.

"Indeed," it echoed with a chuckle that sparkled like sunlit seafoam. "I am Mallow, a messenger of stories. Irresistibly sweet, yet undeniably complex," the marshmallow continued, unwrapping layers of self-promotion.

At that moment, the cabin door creaked open and in slid a familiar figure—Jasp, the octopus investigator. His bright blue eyes, particularly inquisitive, darted between Red and the uncanny confection.

"Just as we thought, trouble wrapped in sweetness," Jasp remarked, adjusting his pebble-rimmed glasses. Each tentacle moved in graceful harmony, a testament to his years of snooping beneath the brine.

Red chuckled, a sparkling sound that danced through the air as she turned to her eccentric friend. "And here I thought marshmallows were purely innocent." Her smile was a delicate nod to the unfolding strangeness that surrounded her.
