Listen to audiobook
Achoo Unleashed
In the bustling halls of Bet El Middle School, sneezes ricocheted off the walls like a strange symphony. Carmel Dvora glanced around, her keen sense of curiosity piqued.
"Ach-oo!" a sneeze erupted nearby. Her friend, Maya, appeared, pinching her nose and laughing. "Carmel, I've counted fifteen sneezes in the past minute!"
Carmel nodded, her eyes narrowing thoughtfully. "Something's up, that's for sure," she replied. Her mind buzzed with questions, and she couldn't shake the feeling that someone or something was causing the chaos.
"You think someone started it?" Maya asked, grinning mischievously.
Carmel shrugged. "Why not? In every good mystery, there’s always a sneaky 'who-done-it.' Let's find them!"
Armed with determination, the girls decided to tackle the sneezing epidemic head-on. Observing each sniffle and sneeze, they began their quest to uncover the hidden instigator. Little did they know, their school year was about to get much more interesting.
Unexpected Alliances
Carmel and Maya decided to observe the chaos more closely, trying to spot any sneezing patterns. Between classes, they noticed something peculiar—the sneezes seemed to be spreading among certain groups of students. Maya, twirling a pencil in her unruly black hair, leaned over to whisper, "I bet the school athletes are the culprits!"
Carmel chuckled, nudging her. "Not sure, but it looks like it's hopping between the artsy group and the brainiacs too,” she said, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "Maybe there’s a common meeting ground."
Later, during lunch, they wandered into the library, where Carmel accidentally knocked over a dusty stack of papers, revealing an old club members list from past years. Carmel’s eyes sparkled with intrigue. "This could lead somewhere," she said, grinning. "Bet there’s more just lying around."
"Let’s check the attic," Maya suggested impulsively, her eyes sparking with mischief. As they headed to the door, an unexpected sneeze echoed behind them, pushing their excitement tenfold.
