Castle Preparations

Ms Crayon Beast stood in the grand courtyard of her colorful castle, watching her gargoyle wives polish the crayon-covered walls until they gleamed like jewels. The morning sun made the stone and wax mixture sparkle in brilliant blues, reds, and yellows.

"The drawing competition flyer came today!" called Granite, the largest gargoyle, waving a bright yellow paper. Her stone wings fluttered with excitement.

Ms Crayon Beast's blue eyes lit up. She gripped her giant blue crayon tighter, feeling the familiar tingle of rainbow energy coursing through it. The annual Artwork Fairy Tale Land contest was finally here.

"I've been practicing my technique," she said, making a small swirl in the air with her crayon. A tiny rainbow spiral appeared and vanished quickly. "This year, I'll create something truly spectacular."

The other gargoyle wives gathered around, their stone faces beaming with pride. Pearl, the smallest, clapped her tiny hands together.

"What will you draw?" asked Ruby, her red stone gleaming.

Ms Crayon Beast smiled mysteriously, her boar tusks catching the light.

The Registration Surprise

Ms Crayon Beast walked toward the competition grounds at the edge of Artwork Fairy Tale Land. Her gargoyle wives had stayed behind to prepare victory decorations for her return. The registration tent buzzed with activity as creatures lined up with their art supplies.

"Next!" called a cheerful otter wearing a bright red apron. She sat behind a wooden table covered with official forms. "Name and specialty?"

"Ms Crayon Beast. Rainbow drawing," she replied, holding up her giant blue crayon.

The otter's whiskers twitched with excitement. "Wonderful! You'll be in tent number seven." She handed over a small wooden box. "Your drawing paper is inside, along with the competition rules."

Ms Crayon Beast opened the box and gasped. The paper shimmered with an unusual silvery coating.

"Special enchanted paper this year," the otter explained. "Makes drawings more... lively."

As Ms Crayon Beast touched her crayon to the paper for a practice stroke, rainbow energy crackled unexpectedly. The small line she drew began to wiggle and move across the surface like a tiny snake.

"Oh my," she whispered, watching her creation squirm with life.
