Afternoons at Spiked Rich

Mayaar pushed the door open to Spiked Rich, feeling a breeze pass her cheeks as she stepped inside. Bright neon lights flickered around the shop, filling it with cheer that chased away her worries from home and school. She loved how the colorful ice creams seemed to sparkle under the lights.

Spying her favorite spot by the window, she made her way past the display of exotic goodies. Today, as on many others, Mayaar wore her stylish blouse and skirt combo that made her feel like she belonged to another world—a magical one.

She glanced around, and there he was—Yazan, seated with a milkshake waiting. His curly hair bounced playfully as he waved, a grin brighter than the glimmering desserts surrounding them.

"Hey, Mayaar! Ready for our daily dose of silliness?" he called out, eyes twinkling with adventure.

Giggling, Mayaar joined him, sharing more than just the milkshake. Here, their laughter bubbled higher than whipped cream, their worries melting like ice beneath the sunshine.

Unexpected Arrival

Mayaar skipped into Spiked Rich, the vibrant surroundings inside always lifting her spirits. Yazan was already at their favorite spot, wreathed in the comforting smell of baked pastries and coffee.

"Hey, Mayaar," he grinned, as she slid into the seat across from him.

They shared a milkshake again, the dual straw bringing their faces close until they were giggling over something silly as usual. But today, their laughter was briefly replaced by a sincere talk about Yazan’s worries from school.

Mayaar listened, her blue eyes kind and understanding. "It'll get better, Yazan, I promise," she said, gently brushing his hand.

Just then, the bell above the door chimed. In walked Sami, Mayaar’s mischievous younger brother, grinning widely at spotting his sister and her friend.

"Mayaar!" Sami exclaimed, racing towards them.

She paused for a moment before introducing her younger brother to Yazan. "This is Sami," she said to Yazan, who smiled and greeted him.

The unexpected presence of Sami sparked a new dynamic, but their vibrant afternoons continued, strengthened with genuine friendship.
