Pink Scissors and Morning Sunshine

Yuki stepped out of her small cottage, her pink heels clicking against the stone path. The morning sun caught her elaborate pink curls, making her scissor hairpins sparkle like tiny diamonds. Her purple eyes scanned the peaceful village of Nakaibito, where colorful houses lined the winding streets.

"Perfect day for haircuts!" she chirped, adjusting her scissors earrings. Her pink dress swished as she walked toward the village square, where her magical salon awaited.

But something was wrong. Usually, children would be running around, playing and laughing. Today, the streets felt unusually quiet. Even the market vendors seemed tense, whispering among themselves.

Yuki paused near the fountain. Her scissors necklace caught the light as she tilted her head, listening. Somewhere in the distance, she could hear shouting. Not the happy kind of shouting that came from games, but the angry, frustrated kind that made her stomach twist.

"Maki! Yuko!" she called to her friends. "Something's happening in the village today."

The Shoemaker's Warning

Maki and Yuko rushed to Yuki's side, their own magical outfits shimmering in the morning light. Maki's green dress sparkled with tiny comb patterns, while Yuko wore blue with brush-shaped buttons.

"The shouting is coming from the square," Maki pointed toward the market.

They hurried down the cobblestone path, passing Tanaka-san's shoe repair shop. The elderly shoemaker stepped outside, his weathered hands clutching a hammer.

"You girls shouldn't go there," he warned, his gray eyes serious. "Those Dakik boys are at it again with their scissors. Poor children are screaming bloody murder."

Yuki's purple eyes widened. "What children?"

"Five boys got dragged to the salon by their parents. Hair down to their shoulders, greasy as old rags. The bullies followed them, trying to cut their bangs with garden shears." Tanaka-san shook his head. "The magical girls who run that salon don't seem to care how terrified those boys are."

A piercing shriek echoed from the square, followed by angry adult voices.

"We have to help," Yuki said, gripping her scissors necklace. But as they approached the salon, she could see three older boys blocking the entrance, laughing cruelly while holding rusty scissors.
