Pink Sparkles and Morning Light

Yuki adjusted her scissors earrings and stepped into the bright morning light of Nakaibito village. Her pink heels clicked against the cobblestone path as she made her way to the magical salon she shared with her best friends, Maki and Yuko.

"Good morning, Yuki!" called Mrs. Tanaka from her flower shop. "Your hair looks lovely today."

Yuki touched her elaborate pink curls and smiled. "Thank you! Maki helped me style it last night."

The salon's crystal door chimes tinkled as she entered. Maki was already there, polishing her thinning shears with care. Her green hair was pulled back in a neat bun, and she wore her signature emerald dress.

"Where's Yuko?" Yuki asked, setting down her pink purse.

"Still sleeping, probably," Maki laughed. "You know how she loves her beauty rest."

Yuki giggled and began arranging her scissors collection. The purple gems in her eyes sparkled as sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating their magical workspace filled with floating combs and enchanted mirrors.

The Morning Rush

Just as Yuki finished arranging her scissors, the salon door burst open. Yuko stumbled in, her blue hair messy from sleep, still wearing her pajamas under a hastily thrown-on purple cape.

"Girls, we have a problem!" Yuko panted, waving her phone frantically. "Mrs. Sato just called. She's bringing five boys to the salon in ten minutes!"

Maki dropped her thinning shears. "Five boys? At once?"

"Worse," Yuko continued, pulling up her purple boots. "They all hate haircuts. She said they haven't had their hair cut in months and they're terrified of scissors."

Yuki's purple eyes widened. "That's why she sounded so desperate on the phone yesterday."

Through the window, they could see Mrs. Sato marching down the street. Behind her, five boys with long, tangled hair dragged their feet. The shortest one had hair covering his eyes completely. Another boy's hair reached his shoulders, matted and unwashed.

"Look at them," Maki whispered. "They look miserable."

The boys stopped outside the salon, huddled together like scared rabbits. One boy shook his head violently while Mrs. Sato pointed at the salon door.

"They're really frightened," Yuki said softly.
