Scissors and Stars
Elexa polished her magical scissors with a silk cloth, watching the cosmic dust sparkle on the blades. Her salon on Nebula Nine gleamed under the backwards sunlight that filtered through purple clouds. The head bobbers shaped like scissors on her green hair clinked softly as she moved.
"Another perfect day for haircuts," she said to herself, adjusting her mushroom hair clip.
Through the window, she spotted a group of alien boys walking past. Their hair flowed wild and untamed down their backs. Link led the pack, his silver head bobbers shaped like lightning bolts catching the light. Behind him walked Hlink, Xabat, Cosmo, Zale, and Tasha, all sporting magnificent manes that had never seen scissors.
Elexa's black eyes sparkled with excitement. Those boys needed her help, whether they knew it or not.
"Time to introduce myself," she whispered, stepping outside her salon door.
The Gathering Storm
"Hey there!" Elexa called out, her scissors-shaped head bobbers jingling as she approached the group of boys.
Link spun around, his silver lightning bolt head bobbers flashing. His wild purple hair whipped across his face as he glared at her with bright orange eyes. "What do you want, scissors girl?"
"I'm Elexa, and I run the best hair salon on Nebula Nine," she said cheerfully. "I couldn't help but notice your amazing hair. I'd love to give you all makeovers!"
Hlink stepped forward, shaking his messy blue locks. His head bobbers were shaped like tiny hammers. "We don't do haircuts," he growled.
"Ever," added Xabat, whose green spiral curls bounced around his comet-shaped head bobbers.
Cosmo crossed his arms, his red hair streaming past his shoulders. Star-shaped head bobbers twinkled above his ears. "Scissors are our enemy."
Zale nodded firmly, his yellow hair catching the purple sunlight. His head bobbers looked like miniature planets. "We're the No-Cut Crew."
Tasha, quieter than the others, brushed his silver hair from his face. His moon-shaped head bobbers gleamed softly. "Sorry, but we really don't want haircuts."
Elexa's black eyes sparkled with determination. "We'll see about that."
