The Missing Daughters

Queen Isabella stood in her castle courtyard, wringing her hands. Her three daughters—Isabella II, Catherine, and the youngest, India—had vanished just days before their weddings. The royal guards searched everywhere but found nothing.

"Your Majesty," called Captain Rodriguez, running toward her. "We discovered something strange at the harbor."

Isabella's heart raced. "What did you find?"

"Wet footprints leading from the docks toward the sea. And this." He held up a torn piece of deep blue fabric. It matched Catherine's favorite dress.

Isabella stared at the ocean. Her daughters were somewhere out there, but where? And why would they leave when their wedding celebrations were about to begin?

Isabella grabbed Captain Rodriguez's arm. "We must follow those footprints immediately!"

They hurried down the rocky path to the harbor. At the water's edge, Isabella spotted something floating near the kelp forest—a wooden box bobbing between the tall seaweed.

"There!" she pointed. "That box wasn't there yesterday."

Captain Rodriguez waded into the shallow water and pulled the mysterious box to shore. Inside, they found three golden wedding rings and a hastily written note: "We are safe, but we cannot return until the sea creatures are healed. Trust us, Mother."
