The Moon Garden's Secret
Listen to audiobook
Silver Shadows
Queen Giovanna stepped through the crystal archway into Mystic Moonhaven. Her silver tiara caught the light from three glowing moons above. The lunar gardens stretched before her, filled with flowers that sparkled like diamonds.
"Your Majesty, look at those fountains!" India pointed to streams of comet ice dancing in the air. Her dark eyes shone with wonder.
Giovanna smiled at her companion. India had been with her for only a few weeks, but already felt like family. The young woman's gentle nature made the long journey from Castile bearable.
They walked past sculptures carved from stardust. Everything here felt magical, yet peaceful. India picked a silver flower and tucked it behind her ear.
"We should find our rooms," Giovanna said softly.
The Unexpected Visitor
India led Giovanna down a winding path lined with silver roses. They found their rooms in a curved building that looked like a crescent moon.
"I'll unpack in my room," India said, opening her door.
Giovanna nodded and entered her own chamber. The walls sparkled with tiny star patterns. She placed her crown on a crystal table.
A soft knock came from India's room next door. Giovanna heard muffled voices through the thin walls.
"I cannot betray Queen Giovanna," India whispered.
"You won't betray her. Stay calm. I am the King of Castile and Aragon," a man's voice replied.
Giovanna pressed her ear closer. India gasped loudly.
"Cousin Filippo! I've missed you so much!" India cried.
Giovanna stepped back, confused. India had a cousin here?
