The Great Friendship Mix-Up
Listen to audiobook
A Sheep in the Park
Sherlock Sheep adjusted his deerstalker hat and peered through his magnifying glass at the park bench. The morning sun warmed his fluffy white wool as he watched Jacob Blakely sit alone, looking worried.
"My friends are acting so strange," Jacob said to himself, not noticing the sheep nearby. "Yesterday Garfield wouldn't stop meowing about lasagna recipes. Pinkie Pie kept bouncing around singing about parties that don't exist. And Casper? He kept floating through walls and scaring everyone!"
Sherlock Sheep's ears perked up. This sounded like a mystery worth solving. He trotted closer, his hooves clicking on the sidewalk.
The Hummingbird's Warning
"Hello there," Sherlock Sheep said gently, approaching Jacob. "I'm Sherlock Sheep, and I couldn't help overhearing about your friends."
Jacob looked up, surprised to see a white sheep wearing a deerstalker hat. "You can talk?"
"Indeed I can. And I solve mysteries too." Sherlock Sheep pulled out his small magnifying glass. "Your friends' behavior sounds quite puzzling."
Before Jacob could answer, a tiny hummingbird zipped down from a nearby tree, hovering frantically in front of them.
"Emergency! Emergency!" the hummingbird chirped rapidly. "Strange purple sparkles are floating around the town! They're making everyone act like characters from movies and TV shows!"
Sherlock Sheep's ears perked up. This explained everything about Jacob's friends.
