The Mysterious Gift

Mandy skipped into her bedroom, her pigtails bouncing with each step. A beautifully wrapped present sat on her desk - blue ribbon tied perfectly around a yellow box.

"I wonder what this is!" she said, carefully untying the ribbon. Inside, nestled in soft tissue paper, were strange white and orange goggles with tiny hearts decorating the frames.

"Dateviators?" Mandy read from the small tag attached. She giggled at the silly name and slipped them over her eyes.

Suddenly, pink sparkles filled the air. A girl with bright pink hair appeared right in front of her bed!

"Hi there! I'm Skylar Specs!" the stranger announced cheerfully.

When Everything Starts Talking

"Who are you?" Mandy asked, adjusting the Dateviators on her nose.

"I'm your dating guide!" Skylar giggled. "These goggles help you practice romance with everything around you!"

Before Mandy could ask what that meant, her bedroom lamp flickered to life. It sprouted tiny arms and wiggled them excitedly.

"Oh my stars! A beautiful girl!" the lamp sang in a squeaky voice. "Will you dance with me under my lovely light?"

Mandy's eyes widened as her alarm clock hopped off the nightstand, growing little legs. "Good evening, gorgeous! Want to spend some quality time together?" it chimed romantically.

Her stuffed dog barked happily, "Pick me for a moonlit walk!"

Soon every object in her room was moving, talking, and trying to get her attention for dates.
