A Colorful Morning
Crayon Mother Goat stepped out of her bedroom at Crayon Lodge, adjusting her red kerchief and purple mask. The morning sun streamed through the waxy windows, casting rainbow patterns across the crayon-built walls.
"Good morning, everyone!" she called cheerfully to the guests lounging in the main hall.
A humanoid deer with soft brown eyes looked up from her newspaper. "Oh, Crayon Mother Goat! You look wonderful today." Her cheeks flushed pink.
"Thank you, Maple," Crayon Mother Goat replied warmly. "What a beautiful day for our towel-only event!"
Several humanoid sheep nearby giggled and waved. One with curly white wool and green eyes stepped forward. "We've been waiting all week for this! Nothing but towels today!"
Crayon Mother Goat nodded enthusiastically. The lodge's towel-only days were always popular. Guests could relax completely, wrapped in the softest towels from across Fairy Tale Metropolis.
She grabbed her giant glowing crayon and headed toward the towel storage room. Everything seemed perfectly normal.
Until she opened the door.
The Empty Room
The towel storage room was completely empty.
Crayon Mother Goat stared at the bare shelves where hundreds of fluffy towels should have been stacked. Her brown eyes widened behind her purple mask.
"That's impossible," she whispered, gripping her giant glowing crayon tighter.
A loud whooshing sound echoed from outside. She rushed to the window and gasped. All the towels were spinning wildly in the air above Fairy Tale Metropolis! They twisted and danced like colorful tornadoes, creating a spectacular but terrifying sight.
"Help! Help!" cried Maple, the humanoid deer, as she ran into the room. Her newspaper was gone, replaced by panic. "The towels are everywhere! They're spinning so fast I'm getting dizzy just watching!"
Through the window, Crayon Mother Goat could see the humanoid sheep guests on the lodge's porch, pointing up at the sky and covering their eyes.
"We can't have towel-only day without towels," Maple said breathlessly. "And look how fast they're spinning! What if they never come down?"
Crayon Mother Goat watched a particularly large blue towel spin past the window. This was definitely not normal.
