The Great Blue Marker Mystery
Listen to audiobook
Morning at the Tower
Marker Mother Goat stood at the top window of Marker Tower, watching the busy streets of Fairy Tale Metropolis below. The morning sun reflected off the tower's colorful marker walls, casting rainbow patterns across her blue dress.
"Morning already?" Bear Goldilocks yawned from the kitchen doorway, her golden fur still messy from sleep. She wore purple pajamas with tiny stars.
"The city's waking up," Marker Mother Goat replied, adjusting her giant blue marker on her back. "I love watching everyone start their day."
Wolf Red Riding Hood bounded down the spiral staircase, her red hood bouncing. "Did someone say breakfast? I'm starving!"
Bear Goldilocks laughed. "You're always hungry, Wolf."
"Can't help it," Wolf grinned, showing her white teeth. "Adventures make me hungry."
Marker Mother Goat smiled at her two friends. Living together in the tower felt perfect. Bear loved cooking porridge, Wolf told the best bedtime stories, and together they made the tower feel like home.
"What's the plan today?" Bear asked, stirring a pot of oatmeal.
"Maybe we could explore the marker factory," Wolf suggested. "I heard they have new colors."
The Empty Breakfast Bowl
Suddenly, Bear Goldilocks dropped her wooden spoon. It clattered against the kitchen floor.
"That's impossible," she whispered, staring at her porridge pot.
Wolf Red Riding Hood bounded over. "What's wrong?"
"My markers." Bear pointed to the counter where her cooking markers should be. "The red one for writing recipes. The green one for grocery lists. They're all gone."
Marker Mother Goat rushed downstairs. Her giant blue marker felt heavier on her back. "When did you last see them?"
"Yesterday evening. I used the purple one to mark my calendar." Bear's golden fur stood on end. "Someone took them during the night."
Wolf sniffed the air carefully. "No strange smells. Whoever did this was sneaky."
A loud crash echoed from outside. The three friends ran to the window. Down in the marketplace, a koala woman was frantically searching through her art stand. Paintbrushes and canvases scattered everywhere.
"My markers!" the koala shouted. "Every single one is missing!"
More voices joined the commotion. A sparrow flew past their window, chirping frantically about lost markers.
"It's not just us," Marker Mother Goat said grimly. "This is bigger than we thought."
