The Power Swap Experiment

The Morning Routine
Creator Lioness stretched her golden arms in the morning sunlight streaming through her fortress windows. The three black towers of Creative Pride Fortress stood tall against the blue sky, each window reflecting the city below.
"Another day to protect Super City," she said, adjusting her light blue cape.
She walked to her control room, her blue gloves tapping against the silver console. Forty-three different power indicators blinked green on the display screen. Her power sensing ability detected citizens starting their morning routines throughout the city.
"Everything looks normal," she murmured, her glowing blue eyes scanning the readouts.
A yellow light suddenly flashed on the experimental device panel. She had been working on a creativity amplifier to help citizens solve problems better. The machine hummed louder than usual.
"That's odd." She stepped closer to examine the controls. "The energy levels are spiking."
The device's screen showed unstable readings. Creator Lioness frowned, her athletic frame tensing as she reached toward the warning buttons.
The Great Distribution
Creator Lioness reached for the emergency shutdown button, but the creativity amplifier suddenly exploded with brilliant white light. The blast knocked her backward across the control room.
When the light faded, she blinked her glowing blue eyes and sat up slowly. Everything looked normal, but something felt wrong. She tried to activate her power sensing ability to check on the citizens below.
Nothing happened.
She concentrated harder, reaching for her super strength to push herself up. Her muscles felt ordinary, like any regular lion person. Panic crept into her chest.
"Computer, run a power diagnostic," she called out.
The screen flickered to life showing forty-three red warning lights. Every single one of her abilities had vanished.
Through her fortress windows, she heard strange sounds echoing from Super City. Car alarms blared continuously. Someone was shouting about flying accidentally. A woman's voice carried over the noise, yelling that she could suddenly read minds.
Creator Lioness pressed her face against the glass. Down in the city streets, a koala in a blue apron was lifting an entire delivery truck over his head while customers scattered from his bakery. The truck's wheels spun helplessly in the air as he held it up with ease.
"Oh no," she whispered. "The machine distributed my powers to everyone else."
