The Missing Color Mystery

Morning Brightness
Crayon Mother Deer stretched her arms and yawned as sunlight poured through the tall windows of Crayon Deer Tower. The morning light painted everything in warm golden hues.
"Mama, look!" squeaked her youngest fawn, Pebble, pointing his tiny hoof toward the window. "The sky is so pretty today!"
Her other fawn, Willow, bounced excitedly beside him. "Can we go to Rainbow Park after breakfast? Please?"
Crayon Mother Deer smiled, her kind eyes twinkling. "Of course, little ones. Let me just check the morning news first."
She picked up her phone and scrolled through the local Forest Metropolis updates. Everything seemed peaceful. The weather forecast promised a beautiful day ahead.
"Alright, who wants pancakes?" she asked, heading toward their small kitchen area.
"Me! Me!" both fawns shouted in unison.
As she mixed the batter, Crayon Mother Deer hummed softly. Her blue and black housecoat swayed gently as she worked. Through the window, she could see other deer families starting their day, walking along the busy streets below their tower home.
The Gray Morning Alert
As Crayon Mother Deer flipped the golden pancakes, her phone buzzed with an urgent alert. The screen flashed bright red with emergency notifications flooding in from across Forest Metropolis.
"Breaking News: Colors Disappearing Throughout the City!"
Her heart skipped a beat. She quickly scrolled through dozens of messages. The red roses in Central Garden had turned gray. The blue fountain water was now clear as glass. Even the yellow taxi cabs looked like old black and white photographs.
"Mama, what's wrong?" Willow asked, noticing her mother's worried expression.
Before she could answer, Pebble gasped and pointed at the window. "The trees! Look at the trees!"
Outside their tower, the vibrant green leaves were fading to dull gray, one by one, like someone was draining the color right out of them. Other deer families on the street below had stopped walking and were staring up at the colorless branches in confusion.
Crayon Mother Deer set down her spatula and picked up her giant magic crayon, which began to glow softly in response to the crisis. This was no ordinary morning after all.
