The Vanishing Vegetable Mystery

Morning Rounds
Sherlock Sheep adjusted his deerstalker hat and stepped into the morning sunshine. Corn Ear Farm buzzed with activity around him. Chickens clucked near the red barn while pigs rolled in their favorite mud puddle.
"Good morning, Sherlock!" called Farmer Brown, wiping dirt from his hands. "Beautiful day for the garden, isn't it?"
Sherlock nodded and pulled out his small magnifying glass to examine a ladybug crawling across a fence post. Everything seemed perfectly normal on the farm.
"My prize tomatoes are growing so well this year," Farmer Brown continued proudly. "And the carrots! Never seen them so orange and plump."
Sherlock smiled. He loved how peaceful mornings felt here, with friends working happily in their favorite spots.
The Chase in the Garden
That afternoon, Sherlock Sheep wandered near the garden fence. His magnifying glass caught a flash of movement behind the tomato plants.
"Help! Someone stop her!" squeaked a tiny voice.
Sherlock peered closer and spotted a small gray mouse running between the vegetable rows. She clutched a cherry tomato in her paws, much too big for her to carry easily.
"Wait!" called Sherlock. "What's happening?"
The mouse stumbled and dropped the tomato. "The vegetables are disappearing!" she panted. "Every morning, Farmer Brown's best ones vanish. Now he thinks I'm the thief!"
Sherlock's ears perked up. A real mystery! But as he stepped forward to help, the mouse darted away into the tall grass, leaving only the fallen tomato behind.
