Morning Sparkles

Crayon Cat Cinderella stretched her grey paws and yawned as the morning sun streamed through the crystal windows of her bedroom. Her blonde hair tumbled over her shoulders as she slipped into her glowing blue dress, the fabric shimmering like starlight.

"Good morning, castle!" she called cheerfully, her black mask perched perfectly above her bright blue eyes.

She bounded down the spiral staircase, her long tail swishing behind her. The great hall buzzed with activity as fairy tale characters prepared for the day. Snow White waved from the kitchen doorway, flour dusting her dark hair.

"Breakfast is ready!" Snow White announced, her brown eyes twinkling.

Cinderella grabbed an apple from the counter and headed toward the main tower window. Outside, Art Fairy Tale Land stretched before her in all its colorful glory. But something seemed different today. The usual brilliant rainbow glow from the four crayon towers looked... dimmer somehow.

She squinted, pressing her face against the cool glass. "That's odd," she murmured, her pointed ears twitching with concern.

The Silver Messenger

Cinderella pressed her nose against the window glass, studying the dim crayon towers. A soft whirring sound caught her attention from outside.

"What in the world?" she murmured.

Through the courtyard below, a small silver drone zipped between the garden hedges, its tiny propellers spinning frantically. It bumped into a fountain, spun in circles, then crashed into a rose bush with a metallic clunk.

"Oh dear!" Cinderella gasped.

She hurried outside, her blue dress flowing behind her. The drone lay upside down, its lights blinking weakly. As she knelt beside it, a crackling voice emerged from its speaker.

"Help... colors fading... factory in danger..."

The voice cut out with a spark. Cinderella gently turned the drone over, noticing tiny rainbow paint streaks on its silver surface.

"Factory?" she whispered, her pointed ears perking up. "What factory?"

Snow White appeared at the castle doorway, wiping her floury hands on her apron.

"Cinderella, what's all that noise about?"

"I think this little drone is trying to tell us something important," Cinderella called back, cradling the damaged machine. "Something about colors fading and a factory."

The drone's lights flickered once more, then went dark completely.
