Morning Light

Ms. Crayon Muskox stretched her arms as morning sunlight streamed through the tall windows of her mansion. The four crayon towers gleamed like colorful beacons against the sky of Meadow Tundra Metropolis.

"Good morning, Ms. Muskox!" called Bella, a cheerful goat maid with white fur and pink ribbons in her hair. She carried a breakfast tray with steaming pancakes.

"Morning, Bella," Ms. Muskox replied, adjusting her light blue mask. "Is everything ready for today's patrol?"

"Almost!" Sheep maid Luna appeared, her gray wool neatly braided. She held up Ms. Muskox's freshly polished blue and black supersuit. "Though something odd happened this morning."

Ms. Muskox raised an eyebrow. "Odd how?"

Luna pointed toward the window. "Look at the roses in the garden."

Ms. Muskox peered outside. The usually vibrant red roses looked... paler than yesterday. Not quite gray, but definitely less colorful.

"Probably just the lighting," Ms. Muskox said, but her voice carried a note of uncertainty.

The Gray Morning

Ms. Crayon Muskox finished her breakfast and stepped outside to investigate the roses herself. The morning air felt crisp against her fur as she knelt beside the flower bed.

"They're definitely losing color," she murmured, touching a petal that should have been deep red but now appeared washed out.

Bella the goat maid trotted up beside her. "Ms. Muskox, you need to see this!" She pointed across the street where a jogger ran past. The woman's bright yellow running shirt looked strangely pale.

Ms. Muskox stood up quickly. "That's not normal lighting."

Luna the sheep maid appeared at the mansion's front door, holding her phone. "I just got a call from the downtown bakery. Mrs. Chen says her rainbow cupcakes turned completely gray overnight!"

Ms. Crayon Muskox felt her heart skip a beat. This wasn't just their garden. Something was draining color from the entire city.

"Get my supersuit ready," she commanded. "We need to patrol Meadow Tundra Metropolis right now."

The three friends rushed inside as Ms. Muskox's mind raced. Whatever was happening, it was spreading fast.
