Morning Light Promises
Art Zone pressed his face against the massive glass windows of AZ Tower, watching the morning sun paint Sketch Metropolis in golden hues. The city bustled below with humans and deer-people heading to work, their antlers catching the light like nature's crowns.
"Another beautiful day to save the world," he said, adjusting his black sunglass goggles.
His drawing tablet sat on the desk nearby, its screen dark and waiting. Today felt different somehow. The biggest art competition in Sketch Metropolis was finally here—the Grand Sketch Championship. Art Zone had been preparing for months.
He picked up his special stylus and powered on the tablet. The screen flickered to life with unusual brightness.
"Whoa," he whispered, stepping back. The screen pulsed with an electric blue glow he'd never seen before.
A knock echoed through the tower. Art Zone set the tablet down carefully and headed for the door, his red cape swishing behind him. Something told him this day would be anything but ordinary.
The Glowing Delivery
Art Zone opened the tower door to find a tall deer-man in a blue postal uniform standing on his doorstep. The visitor's antlers gleamed silver in the morning light, and a large mail satchel hung across his shoulder.
"Special delivery for Art Zone," the deer-man said, holding out a glowing envelope. "This came from the competition headquarters with urgent instructions."
Art Zone took the envelope carefully. The moment his fingers touched it, electric sparks danced across the paper's surface.
"That's... unusual," the postal deer muttered, stepping backward.
Art Zone tore open the envelope. Inside was a registration form that shimmered with the same blue glow as his tablet. At the bottom, strange symbols pulsed like heartbeats.
"The Grand Sketch Championship has been moved to today," Art Zone read aloud. "All contestants must report to Central Plaza immediately with their drawing equipment."
The deer-man's eyes widened. "Today? But it was supposed to be next week!"
Art Zone grabbed his glowing tablet from the desk. As soon as he touched it, the screen burst to life with brilliant blue light that filled the entire room.
"Something's definitely not normal here," he said, watching the light pulse in rhythm with his heartbeat.
