Morning Routines

Crayon Crusader stretched his arms as morning sunlight streamed through the crystal windows of Crayon Castle. The four towering crayon spires sparkled like giant crayons reaching toward the clouds.

"Good morning, Crusader!" called Daisy, a cheerful deer wearing a crisp white maid uniform. Her brown eyes sparkled as she carried a breakfast tray. "The city looks beautiful today!"

He adjusted his blue sunglass goggles and smiled. "Thanks, Daisy. Canvas Story City always looks amazing from up here."

Through the window, he could see the colorful houses and shops below. Artists painted murals on walls while children played with sidewalk chalk. Everything seemed perfect and peaceful.

"Will you be patrolling the city today?" asked Luna, a fluffy white sheep in a towel, peeking around the corner with bright green eyes.

"Always ready to help," he said, summoning his giant glowing blue crayon. The magical tool hummed with creative energy.

But something felt different about this morning. The air seemed unusually still, and a strange shadow passed over the castle.

The Gray Morning

Suddenly, a deafening WHOOSH echoed across Canvas Story City. Crayon Crusader rushed to his tower window and gasped.

The vibrant reds of the roses below were fading to gray. The sunny yellow paint on Mrs. Martinez's bakery turned dull silver. Even the bright green grass in the park was losing its emerald shine.

"The colors!" Daisy the deer cried, her brown eyes wide with alarm. "They're disappearing!"

A booming laugh echoed from the sky. A massive hot air balloon shaped like an artist's palette descended toward the city square. Standing in the basket was a tall, thin man wearing a striped coat that seemed to shimmer between black and white.

"Citizens of Canvas Story City!" the man shouted through a megaphone. "I am Professor Grayscale! Your precious colors now belong to me!"

Behind him sat a peculiar monkey wearing tiny goggles, operating a strange machine with spinning wheels and tubes. The device hummed loudly as it sucked streams of color from everything below.

"My Color Vacuum works perfectly!" Professor Grayscale cackled. "Soon this world will be beautifully boring and gray, just like it should be!"

Crayon Crusader gripped his glowing blue crayon tighter. The city needed its colors back.
