The City That Never Stops Roaring
Pride City was the kind of place that never really went quiet.
Hover-trams hummed between golden towers. Street vendors hollered about fresh-squeezed mango juice. And somewhere between the fountain plaza and the Mane Street Market, a kid with fuzzy ears was chasing a runaway sandwich.
It was a perfectly ordinary Tuesday — until it wasn't.
On top of the Civic Tower, four figures stood with their capes snapping in the wind: Blaze, Mira, Rex, and Lyra — the Liontastic 4. Two majestic male lions and two sleek lionesses, each wearing a fitted suit, a bold emblem on the chest, and a mask that said *don't mess with us.*
"Quiet day," said Rex, stretching his big golden arms.
"Too quiet," Mira muttered, scrolling through her phone. Her eyes narrowed at something on the screen.
"What?" Blaze leaned over.
She turned the phone around. A blurry photo. Someone in a cape. Someone who looked exactly like them.
Feathers and Fur
Mira, the sleek lioness, zoomed in on the photo. It was blurry, but the cape was unmistakable — same red, same gold trim.
"That's Mane Street Market," Rex said, squinting at the background. "Right now."
They were on the street in four minutes flat.
The market was loud and packed. Fruit stalls, noodle carts, a woman selling handmade shoes from a bright orange cart. And perched on top of that cart — a large, lime-green parrot in a tiny red cape.
"LIONTASTIC FOUR! LIONTASTIC FOUR!" the parrot screeched, flapping wildly.
The shoe cart shook. Mangoes rolled. A whole stack of sandals hit the ground.
"Mine! Mine! Mine!" the parrot screamed — and dive-bombed a fruit stand, sending papayas everywhere.
A noodle vendor threw her hands up. "Again?! This is the THIRD time this week!"
Blaze stared. "Wait — that parrot has been doing this for a week?"
The shoe vendor, an older woman with paint-stained gloves, crossed her arms and pointed straight at the four lions.
"And everyone thinks it's YOU."
