The Orange Glow

Rainbow Dash stretched her wings in her cozy cloud home above Ponyville. The morning sun painted the sky in brilliant colors, perfect for flying practice.

"Time to show everypony what speed really looks like!" she announced to herself, grinning with confidence.

She zoomed out of her cloud house, diving toward the town square. Wind rushed through her rainbow mane as she performed loops and barrel rolls. Below, ponies stopped to watch her aerial show.

Suddenly, something strange caught her eye. Near the old oak tree, a shimmering orange glow flickered like a broken television screen. The air around it seemed to bend and twist.

"What in Equestria is that?" Rainbow Dash muttered, slowing her flight.

She flew closer to investigate. The orange glow pulsed brighter, making a low humming sound that made her ears twitch. It looked like a doorway made of liquid fire.

The Sticky Trap

Rainbow Dash hovered near the strange orange portal, her wings beating nervously. The humming sound grew louder, making her teeth chatter.

"Maybe I should get Twilight," she muttered, but curiosity won over caution.

She reached out one hoof to touch the shimmering surface. The moment her hoof made contact, the portal exploded outward like a giant soap bubble. Orange light wrapped around her like sticky honey, pulling her forward.

"Hey! Let go!" she shouted, flapping her wings frantically.

The world spun upside down. Colors blurred together. Her stomach felt like she was doing barrel rolls, but she wasn't flying at all.

Everything went silent.

Rainbow Dash opened her eyes and gasped. She stood in a narrow hallway with yellow walls and buzzing lights overhead. The carpet beneath her hooves was damp and smelled like old socks.
