Morning Scissors

Yuki adjusted her scissor hairpins and checked her reflection in the salon window. The morning sun painted Nakaibito village in golden hues, and she could already hear the commotion from down the street.

"Maki! Yuko! Are you ready?" she called to her friends inside the Pink Scissors salon. Her purple eyes sparkled with determination as she watched a group of parents marching toward them, dragging five reluctant boys behind them.

The boys had hair so long and tangled it covered their faces completely. People often mistook them for girls, which made their parents furious. Ren kicked and screamed while his mother pulled him by his greasy locks. Riku, Haruto, Kenji, and Hiroto weren't much better—all of them looked terrified.

"Please, no!" one boy wailed. "We don't want haircuts!"

Yuki's heart softened slightly, but she straightened her pink dress and gripped her scissors necklace. These boys needed help, whether they wanted it or not. Their hair was a complete disaster.

Giant Scissors at the Door

Before anyone could react, the salon door burst open. Three older boys stomped inside, led by a tall one with a cruel smirk.

"Look what we have here!" the leader announced. His name was Ryusei, and he carried enormous scissors that gleamed in the sunlight. "More messy hair to fix!"

Behind him, Daiki and Sato laughed as they pulled out their own giant cutting tools. They weren't magical hairdressers—they were the village bullies who enjoyed giving terrible haircuts to anyone they caught.

"Run!" screamed Ren, but his long hair tangled around his legs as he tried to escape.

Yuki stepped forward, her scissors necklace catching the light. "Stop right there! This is our salon!"

"We don't care about your fancy salon," Ryusei sneered. "We're here for these boys with their girly hair. Time for some real cuts!"

The five frightened boys huddled together behind the salon chairs, their greasy locks covering their terrified faces. Maki and Yuko rushed to Yuki's side, their own magical scissors ready.

"You'll have to go through us first," Yuki declared, her purple eyes flashing with determination.
